Action Door and Window

On May 23, 2016 I hired Action Door and Window to replace the springs on my garage door. During the service, it was determined that the "carriage is bad" and needed to be replaced. Everything seemed fine with the service, the company, the follow-up and the price. It is now October 16, 2016 and my garage door is broken again. The door gets stuck on the way down and the entire rail the carriage runs on is flexed. When I pull the release cord, the entire door slams to the ground. I had another garage door company come out on October 18, 2016 to review the problem. It was discovered that Action Door and Window had installed the wrong springs on the door and tightened the springs to the point where the weight of the garage door destroyed the motor on the garage door opener. I paid this third company to replace the springs….again…and now have to buy an entire new garage door system to replace the one that was destroyed by Action Door and Window’s mistake. I do not recommend Action Door and Window, especially when there are so many other options in the Avon/Avon Lake/North Ridgeville area with better reviews on Angie’s List, Yelp, etc.
