Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Lima, OH

Poor poor front desk staff! We were traveling from out of town for my mother’s visitation and funeral and were several hours away. Once arrangements were made, I contacted the hotel to see if we could come earlier than 3 pm to check in and explained our situation. The timing was such that we wanted to freshen up and get our things in the room as the visitation was starting at 1pm and lasting until 8pm. We were told during that phone call to come at around 11am and possibly a room would be ready, but likely not till noon. When we arrived, the front desk clerk, Kathy, rudely told us that Housekeeping doesn’t even get there until 10am and no, there wasn't anything. I explained the situation and what we had been told and she said simply to try back at noon. So we went to a restaurant and ate lunch and came back at noon. She was at the front desk, looked at my wife and said, Coffey? Then she didn’t say anything for several minutes as she was on the computer and sighing. My wife again explained the situation and thanked her for doing what she could to help with this......she completely ignored her and continued to sigh and look at the computer. Then, she radioed someone who gave her a room number. She then tapped on the computer, grabbed some cards, activated them, then laid them on the counter and told my wife the room number. The end. No acknowledgement of our situation, no hi, bye, kiss my.... I really hope that this is not the standard to be expected from the front desk staff.
