The Federal

I was a huge fan of this restaurant and have been going there for years.. but no longer and never again. I brought my family of 4 and a guest from out of town to the restaurant after visiting OH WOW. Walked in the door to a half full restaurant . Hostess has hand on her chin like she is bored... not even removing hand from face say says "how many?" No greeting no nothing. My response "hello, 5 please". "We don't have any tables available and I don't know when we will" note- never even raising hand off her chin. It's then I noticed a four top by the window and I say "can't you put us there". "Sorry I'm not allowed to add chairs there". Again never lifting hand off Chin. I said "ok" and we left and spent our money at a competitor. I immediately went online and emailed the website, explained what happened and left my contact info- I never heard a response from anyone. If your looking for a great dining experience downtown go elsewhere
