I am self employed. I went to this h&r block to have my taxes done last year, and it was a nightmare. I had to correct the person doing my taxes maybe 4 times because they could not figure it out themselves, they were not entering all my expenses, etc. It took a long time. After looking through them recently with a lawyer for an unrelated reason, he pointed out to me that they put down most of my expenses under "contract labor" which is incorrect, as I am small retailer. He told me that could actually get me in trouble with the government down the road. So now I have to go back and have them correct it. I am not a "tax expert" like these "professionals" me and my wife paid 400 dollars to do our taxes, but even I know my expenses should of gone under cost of goods sold, not contract labor. After my experience, if you really can't do your taxes yourself or on turbo tax for free, I would recommend finding a qualified CPA instead of a big chain like h&r block.
