I used to work at the Kroger here in high school. Visiting recently I was surprised to see an armed officer (not a security guard) standing out front watching customers go in and out. I don't know if that means we're less or more safe! The parking lots need resurfacing badly. The main strip facing Hamilton is in good order, the far side toward Roses Department Store (old Big Bear & Hart's) needs attention and is poorly lit. Please be extra mindful at night or early morning if you need to come here. Whitehall is gradually getting cleaned up, hopefully this will follow suit. I like that Great Eastern is not a mega-plex, its just big enough to quickly get what I need in one place and get out.
